For this episode we spoke with Eleanor Sharpston QC, former Advocate General at the EU Court of Justice, about the EU Court of Justice, about her work at the European Court of Justice, the process of developing opinions, and the fact that matters that are being negotiated at the EU Court of Justice often affect religious-cultural and legal fields at the same time.

Eleanor Sharpston practiced EEC, EC and EU law for 25 years, while also lecturing in EU law and comparative. Between 2006 and 2020 Eleanor Sharpston was UK Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Communities. During her time she presented more then 340 opinions. Today Eleanor Sharpston works in environmental law and is a member of the Aarhus Convention Compliance Committee (ACCC).
